Sometimes, JP, you just have to get tough with that scare voice. Tell it to knock it off - and tell it loudly. Get busy with something and keep your focus on what you are busy with. Always bring yourself back to what you are doing. You don't have to put up with this.
An exercise to practice is: Be the watcher of your thoughts. Do not react to them - no matter what they say. Just watch and allow the thoughts to come and go. Stop the resistance to those thoughts. Use your breath to keep from "thinking about those thoughts". Your breath will help to keep you centered on the exercise.
Practice. It takes time and perseverance but you can do this.

jp4life,
I wanted to tell you that I just recently experienced all of what you just spoke of. I actually had fluid in my ears a few weeks ago and that was a scary feeling!! From having those scary dizzy spells I started having panic attacks! It was no fun at all! Remember, fluid in your ears can cause dizziness and is totally harmless. Hope you feel better soon!
