It's amazing how we never forget what is said to us. I am trying to learn new songs. I find I am stuck in a rut. I wonder why. As I am practicing I start to fall asleep. Then the voice of this woman who insulted me some 30 years ago starts playing in my head. It was when I was 19. I was practicing the guitar in a music store I worked at. I was getting the chords down. However, she evilly said "oh you will never really get it down, you're slow, but people don't tell you because you're very sensitive and they don't want to make you cry." That is the reason why I am stuck and can't make progress with my practicing. It's amazing! It's amazing how things stay with us and effect us subconscious 30 years later!

you are so right... if only we all could THINK and PRAY before we speak that God would set a guard over our lips so that we would bless instead of curse... what a more pleasant world we would live in... encouraging one another and helping each other grow and mature

i'm gonna pray that right now... "Lord, please help Song Writer know that it's YOU Who have more power than words and YOU can replace our painful memories with forgiveness and love"... if we didn't need forgiveness, we couldn't give forgiveness... that always helps me forgive... thanks for sharing and may God Himself restore your playing and writing to glorify HIM... (don't even know if you are a Christian, but i know God would love to call you HIS child...)
much LOVE,
kj

You can do it, SongWriter! WE believe in you, regardless of what some silly person said out of pure meanness years ago! You have a talent and you will get "unstuck."

Words really are very powerful, so fill your mind with positive, encouraging ones.
