I get this same thing. I am no doctor and cannot diagnose you, but this sounds like acid reflux. There is a whole thread on acid reflux if you scroll down the left hand side of topics and go to page 2.

Anxiety can make reflux worse. My gastroenterologist told me to avoid citrus, tomatoes, carbonated beverages, chocolate, alcohol, caffeinated coffee , nuts (although almonds don't bother me), anything oily, spicy, greasy or fried, aspirin and any NSAID's like Advil, Motrin, etc. I sleep up on two pillows to keep my head elevated some.

You are supposed to eat smaller meals so you don't get too full and be sure to eat at least 3 hours before you go to bed.

Hope this helps and you get some relief. You could try Pepcid, but it made me kind of dizzy when I took it. Since everybody's system reacts differently to meds, it may not bother you at all and may give you relief.

I kept a food log to see what bothered me.

Good luck to you--I know how aggravating this can be.
