Hi Juan-

Your blood pressure can go higher, because when you are anxious you are squirting adrenaline into your body. Adrenaline pinches the blood vessels tighter and causes the heart to beat harder and faster. Which increases the pressure that is measured.

On the same token, calming yourself will reduce your blood pressure.

Do you have the program or some kind of relaxation CD? That will help alot.

I drank 5 types of energy during the day plus a tea during lunch. on the way back after driving for 2 hours i began to feel weird internally, like a very strong rush and my heart went pumping crazy. my hbp went way up that i felt i was going to die. later analysis came ok on my heart condition, my thyroid, diabetes, i'm not pheo liky my doctor suspected. my HBP has always been ok until this happen. i'm taking pills for HBP, for anxiety, too. there is one pill i only took once it made feel worse when i thought i was getting better.the name of the pill is lexapro. i already told my miserable story since you were kind to reply to me i am appreciated and any other suggestions would be a help thanks for you're kindness
