Stress Center Peer Support

I have a constant lightheadedness. Is this a normal symptom of anxiety? I just started to get symptoms of anxiety 4 weeks ago and am still trying to figure it all out. I am 40 years old and do not have a past with anxiety. I have had normal everyday stresses, but the symptoms of heart palpitations and light- headedness are new too me.

Have you seen a doctor and had everything medically ruled out? If not, that is where you need to start, so they can check out your heart etc, then go from there.

well i am 25 yrs old and i get lighthead all the time for the past 2 yrs still ant figure out why, they think it might be inner ear trouble but somedays when i dont think about it i dont have it but when i think about it or have stress i get it and i have the heart flutters to. I've had a whole lot of ekgs and a heart echo and wore a heart mointer and everything check out fine and i ask the doctor was it dangerous when my heart flutter and he said it wasnt, but it scares me to death when it dose it. But i reckon there are a whole lot of people that get them.

I have had all heart issues ruled out. I'm having a stress echo next week, but the doctor seemed confident that everything will turn out fine. I have generalized anxiety, so maybe I feel lightheaded constantly because I feel a constant sense of anxiety. Does that seem rational?

I am so glad all the medical stuff was ruled out, that must give you some peace of mind...absolutely anxiety can cause lightheadedness, i suffer with this at times, i feel like i am tilting at times it is such a weird sensation. Is the dizziness all the time, or just when you start thinking about it?
