Hello all -
I actually completed the program a year ago and had wonderful results... that is, until I started back into the old habits and thinking. It's been very dark and scary in my mental world of self-torture and self-loathing, overwhelm, fatigue, over-committment, severe anxiety, fear, constant worry, obsessive thinking, agoraphobia...
And this fall has been a bummer because I've had chronic sinus infections, colds, sore throats, low-grade fevers, mental and physical burnout... basically constantly sick since late July. I just know that this anxiety and stress is making me weak but I'm having trouble taking a break from beating myself up. I started with session 1 again.
Does anyone have any advice on nutrition, supplements, how to rest, how to keep on track with the program this time around, how to really adopt the skills as a way of life, how to stop beating myself up... I'll take whatever ya got!

Hello Girl
I just read your profile and it looks like you are into some really cool exercising. I think some yoga or a good run would help with the release of those endorphins. Also I just heard Dr Oz. say that we need more vitamin D in the Winter and also vitamin C and the complex B vitamins.Dr Oz also had some interesting sleep information. He said the room you sleep in needs to be very dark. To test the darkness get in bed with the lights off and take the days paper in the room with you and if you canstill read the Headlines in the dark room it's not dark enough. He also says to not have a tv in your room since it messes up your deep REM sleep. Anyway I hope that helps some. Keep on keeping on and get back into the program. Session 10 was a great comfort to me.
Take Care
Jill~

I know how you feel. I've been having these sinus problems too. Pressure in the head and ears. I just had to get rid of my cats. I hope this goes away soon.
I don't know what to tell you, because I'm kinda going through it too.
I hope you feel better soon.

cuttingirl,
I am going through a similar experience right now. I feel defeated. I've had sinus problems since the end of the summer, and it was due to my wisdom teeth, which have been killing. I got two of them out and now I have to get the other two out, which is a long recovery due to the crazy amounts of antibiotics and the infections in the tooth. But I can relate to you. I started going back to school this fall and I was hesitant to go back because it seems whenever I try to live my life I get sick. Sick for a long time. What I do to TRY to keep healthy is drink at least 3 cups of green tea every day with some honey in it. And I eat a nutitious diet. If you ever get feeling nausous I found this great gum called "ginger gum" it's all no natural with no side-effects,you just chew a piece and it really helps with the nausea. I hope this helps a little. It's really good to know that someone out there can relate. I feel like I've had enough.

You didn't mention if you completed the program just once, or went through it a few times in a row a year ago- ? I actually went through the whole thing three times with the third time being more or less a review, etc. I still refer to parts of it from time to time and it seems each time is for a different reason. For me it was the repetition that made it stick. I take a lot of supplements that include D-3, sublingual B's, fish oil, and multi vitamins. I also use licorice root, ginger, and echinacea organic teas when I'm not feeling well. They seem to help quite a bit. I drink green tea on a daily basis. Quality sleep is so important. I use an eye mask in bed to make sure it's as dark as possible. I also use Melatonin now and then and it does seem to give me a better quality of sleep. It certainly is a challenge now days to keep the stress levels down.
