I'm a 39 year old female who has suffered from Panic Attacks/Disorder for over 20 years. I've tried every medication, been to every therapist/psychologist/psychiatrist/hospital, and have had enough.
I have been practicing the relaxation disc, which does calm me down. I haven't yet decided to go try out my new relaxation out in public yet, but I know I will soon enough. I actually got anxious listening to Disc 2 of the program! I want to live a normal life, without having to worry about when the next attack will come, or whether I will ever be able to live my life without medication. I pray that this program works for me. This is my last option.

Hi Susan-
It's a good option for you. Keep practicing and get up when you fall down. It's not a straight line of improvement, but it does go up. And life doesn't have to be worrying about your next panic anymore.
All the best to you.

Susan !
I've never been on meds either. I talked to my doctor about it, but I told him that I didn't want them because I've heard that coming off of them can be worse than the attacks themselves.
I finished the program over a year ago and I can't get over the changes. Once in a while I can feel an attack coming on, but I know what to do to stop it now. Sometimes I can actually laugh when one starts up. THAT'S a BIG change from before.
Don't give up the program and if you end up doing some of the weeks 2 weeks in a row because you felt you didn't get it, don't worry about it. Just do the week over again. It's no big deal.
Whenever you feel the need to blow off steam or just talk about you day or week, then log on and type away !
YOU CAN DO THIS !!!!!!!!

Susan,
It is normal to get anxious listening to the CD's in the beginning. Lucinda even talks about that. It is probably because you are facing your fears and it makes you nervous. I got anxious in the beginning too when I listened to the CD's. But keep it up, you will learn a lot of coping skills and pretty soon, you won't have the anxiety when you listen to the CD's.
Man of music is right--you CAN do it. He gave you a lot of good advice about working the program.
Good luck--I think it will definitely help.

Susan, facing anxiety head on WILL create more anxiety!, but only at first and for a short time. It will alleviate as you go buy. Use the program daily. Remember it may take a little work and time to change your bad habitual thinking but you will notice changes almost immediately as you finish each lesson.

Thank you for all of the feedback! It's very much appreciated!
I am going to listen to Session 2, and stay in Week 2, for a bit longer. I tried going out and testing my skills, only to find that I'm NOT READY. Had 2 Level 10 attacks. UGH!
