I have a scowl sometimes. In other words my forehead creases together and I look angry. It's pretty much permanent at my age. I have tried botox but it really didn't work. I would need more but can't afford it.

Now my beautiful 8 year old child is doing the same thing! My wife and I don't want him to do that! I don't want him to turn out like me! I can't help not doing it at this point.

Are there any suggestions? Children really pick up on things! Any suggestions?

Hi songwriter,

A child does the same as he sees his father do. No matter how long you have had that scowl on for, if you want to see your child lose his scowl, you need to work on losing yours.

Work on putting joy in your heart, and laughter in your life. I have seen your posts, and I believe that you love your child and your wife. Try to surround your self with things that bring you joy. You really have to work on re-programing you heart and soul.

I think you might be one that gives the negative aspects of life too much power. It may be hard to do, but for the love of your family you have to give yourself and them that chance. How? when ever you see something negative that gets you worked up, turn away from it and count and go into the breathing techniques, and move on and away from that place of anger and negativity.

You may not have success at first, but you have to practice this until you learn to do it automatically. You also need to remind yourself who you are doing it for.

In the meantime, I will pray for you to be strengthened and encouraged by this, and that you be filled with a sense of peace and joy that getting to know the Lord can bring you as you draw near to Him.

Have a blessed day.
