I get sick A LOT. It is really depressing. I get sinus, ear, and upper respiratory infections a lot in the winter...I'm from New England. I also suffer from IBS. I take ecchineacha pills everyday to support my immune system, fish oil pills, I eat well, I don't smoke or anything, and I get sick all the time. Does anyone else get sick a lot? How do they cope? I know when people get sick there anxiety increases a lot, and that happens to me. It has been really hard for me to keep a job or anything due to me getting sick a lot. I've gone to many doctors and they just tell me to take supplements and do what I'm doing. They said a lot of people react this way to cold weather. :\ Also, I suffer from really bad allergies in every other season but winter, so there's always something! I'm 24, and I'm currently finishing up a semester at the community college. I want to work, but I always end up losing my job somehow due to sickness, or I get really stressed out thinking about having to go and that I might be sick. It's a viscious cycle! Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Aliengirl,
You sound like my daughter, who just found a doctor sho told her to be tested for autoimmune disorder, she has and tested positive! She is now undergoing treatments and doing so much better! Stress of any kind brings it on it full force! If you have not been tested and diagnosed, I would highly suggest it!

I remember getting sick a lot when my stress and anxiety were at there peak. I am only in my second week of the program, but at this time in my life, my anxiety is not what it was 4 or 5 years ago. At that time, i thought that I had cancer or AIDS. I was sick all of the time. My brother feels this way a lot now and I tell him that I think it is mostly stress. He has been to doctors and has had numerous tests done and they find nothing. I think this is also a testament to the fact that anxiety does run in families.
