Just wondering if anyone here ever got in trouble with the law and if so how that affects you now. Got into some minor touble in my teens almost 10 years ago and can't forgive myself...thanks

Jules -

Why do you think that you can't forgive yourself? Do you regret your actions and truly feel remorseful? Have you learned from your experience and changed your ways? I suspect from your post that the answer to both these questions is yes. If that is the case, why can't you let go? The past is unchangeable. All we can do is move forward, do our best, and try to correct our mistakes. Be kind to yourself. I hope you can find some peace.

I think I have a hard time because I have something on my record now for life and its a constant reminder for life. It was so long ago, I just need to move on. Thanks guys.

thats right ,you are holding on to something negative that will always give you a reason too feel less than you should that was then and this is now,i think everyone of us would change monents in our life,if we can't forgive ourselves than nothing will change,i have drank beer for over 30yrs,and had many things to dwell on[regrets]i think we should all stop dwelling on the bad,what ever happened to you it can only stop you to move on if you let it,stop being your own exicutioner and realise you are worth love and respect.
