Stress Center Peer Support

Well I had a panic attack while driving about 6 months ago and I haven't been able to drive alone since. Well today I drove 12 miles by myself! I only drove about 3 miles from home and made a circle and came back... but I did it 4 times!!! I felt fine almost the whole time!! I plan on adding a mile to that tomorrow and doing that about 4 times and then adding a mile everyday!!!!
I am super happy about it and I know it's not much to brag about because it's only 12 miles but I just thought I would share!!!! Hope everyone is having a great day!!!

This is so good. Congratulations. The boost to confidence and ego is far reaching. The key is to try and keep at it (at least to some degree) every day. I try to drive at least every other day or the phobias want to get the upper hand.

Way to go BlueD. Be proud of every accomplishment and give yourself a big "that a girl" pat on the back. Keep on trying and never stop believing in yourself. Those things seem so little to most people but to all of us who are right there where you are, we know that is a great deal. Well I went on another drive tonight... I just got in the car and cranked up the music and my son and I sang as loud as we can and just drove!!!
I even went on the 4 lane highway!!! WOW!!! It felt great!!!!! I didn't make it 2 far but I went further than I did last time!! WHOOO HOOOOOO!!! Feeling#great!!!!!
