Worrying

My anxiety is much better than it was last week, however, I am still thinking about whether or not to increase my meds. I have been on 20 mg of celexa in the past, but weaned down to 10 mg which I have been taking for the last 4 years. I have myself going round and round in my head about this. For me, starting celexa always made my anxiety worse. Will the increase be different for me since I have been on it already? Lots of whatif thinking around this. What if it makes my anxiety worse then what do I do? I am scared. Want to feel better, like we all do. I have to decided soon. Should have already taken my daily dose, but running around in my head about what to do.

Sorry about all you are experiencing, but a change in medication is really something that ought to be addressed by a doctor. If you have the program, it may help without any change in medication. Just some thoughts for you. Hope you are feeling better.

Andy: What you are experiencing is normal, don't panic, just slow down and let it float.
I myself am working on lowering the doses of my medications, but my advice is
to keep your doctor notified about what you are doing with your medications.
Sometimes we are not thinking rationally while we are having an anxious episode,
panic attack or depression, so we decide that we need to skip our medications
or add an extra dose, not a good idea, it just messes us up even more to alter
our doses on a random basis. I am working on the program for the second time
and I know that the advice really does work. Try working on the program, it is
good solid advice and with practice it really does work. I am working on Session 1
again and I have found that finding time to relax has been helping me with week.
Hope to hear from you soon.

I may get in trouble, allthough that could be my middle name..... :D

Take the meds as prescribed or ask the Dr. how to properly discontinue. Stop whatifin the meds as the fine Ladies tell ya.
It does not work and compounds the problem. I am going to suggest a book to read so maybe it will give you some keys for you to try and unlock the real driver behind what is causeing the worry.

Living The Truth by Dr. Kieth Ablow. You can also facebook living the truth and find some of his sharing of knowlege.

As Paul Harvey would say, Good Day.
