April 28th 2008..destination’Dallas Texas..cruising altitude=32000 ft.
So, my day began at approximately 6:30a.m. rush rush rush to get things together, shower and at the shuttle by 8:45 a.m. That was quite the feat with twin two year olds. On our way from B’ham to Seattle, the ride was quite comfortable. The twins sat contently with “Grandma” and “Grandpa”. Hubby and I enjoyed a nice game of “Who wants to be a millionaire” that I downloaded a few months ago on my cell phone. It took about 2 hrs. to get to “Seatac” airport.
Off the bus to check in our luggage..Hey, when did they start charging for every bag “checked –in”? $15 for the first bag and $25 for each indiv. Bag after that! Thank goodness we had six people traveling…we were able to pay the original price. Seriously folks, NOTHING is free!#$@%$#
Standing in line at “security” was , uncommonly fast! I had three pairs of shoes OFF in 1.2 seconds…LOL…okay slight exaggeration…3.2 seconds…The twins were given “TSA Junior officer” badges for doing such a great job!! (okay, I’m doting now;) okay…through ‘security” and on to our gate. Ahhh but we haven’t eaten yet, think we’ll stop and get a bite to eat at “The African” which is a pretty good stop for Airport food..not to bad and not really all that expensive.
Flight number 2404 gate A9 American Airlines. Within one hour after lunch, we were boarding the plane. 1:30 p.m.(approx) were ready for take off.
That is when our “vacation” officially began.
NEVER, have I EVER gotten on to an airplane WITHOUT “anticipatory anxiety”. Four hours of flight and totally relaxed…something is happening to me….I (with Gods helps of course) am able to travel comfortably and “anxiety” free.
The purpose of this post is to let everyone on these boards know that we do NOT have to live in an anxious state!!! If I can do this, ANYONE can.
I am currently in TEXAS state..enjoying my vacation…no anxiety(even with this new scare of the “Swine flu”) It’s been within my control all this time and it’s time to take back!
Take care and God bless you all
Peace
Robin
