Okay so I have this plan off getting off my zoloft I take 75mg, for the first few years I was at just 25mg, then the past 2 years 75mg, for my anxiety. So I figure I am better able to handle my anxiety now and over the next year I wanna ever so slowly wean off . And now I am in such a huge panic about it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Worrying that it wont work , that I will lose it, go crazy or be in this big depression .Thats why I figured if I gave it a year I would have so much time to adjust and do it super slow. Then I read all these sites about how people felt worse then they did when they started it or had the worst problems with withdrawl so holly smokes now I am freaking the heck out . Any body have any good stories about weaning off , or how I should stop worrying? Thanks for taking the time out , it means alot

Hi I work at a Dr. Office and I can tell you that we have had many patients taper off and did great.
Have you talked to your dr, about it.? Keep good thoughts. I am just in week 3 with possitive thinking...... What week are you?
Remember the steps, revist wk 2&3. They are good
Best of luck, be kind to yourself, Knitting girl

If your doing this with the permission of your doctor than I say go for it! This program is a wonderfull set of tools and guidelines to overcome your worry...change your negative thinking...its you that is scarying yourself by whatifing to the negative....you say what if I get worse? Well what if you get better? you say what if I slip into a deep depression? Well what if you dont?
Its hard not to be affected by what we hear others going through..but remember thats not you. You have to fill your mind with positive affirmations...write them down on a post it and place them all over your home so that when you mind starts to wander you are constantly reminded of what you should be saying....for instance...write on one: I am healthy and strong and I can do this! Smile! My life is a gift and Im gratefull to have this moment! are you getting where Im going with this?
Put them in the fridge or on the mirror in the bathroom or in the cabinet where you get drinking cups so that as you move through the house through the day you see these and they remind you to shift your thinking to the good side.
You can do this. I myself do not take medication and Im doing ok!
Good luck to you and keep up your good work.
PS....another great speaker to go in conjunction with this program is Louise Hay. She has some great material and much of it is on audio to listen to. You can find her stuff online or you can even find some on ebay.
