how can i stop overreacting please someone help me.

hello my name is mona and something happend to me today that scared me i was working cause iw ork in a school and i recieved a call from the office telling me to come up as i was walking towards the office a coworker of mine told me that the police was here for me to arrest me i knew i didnt do anything wrong but fear immediatley kicked me my heart started racing so fast i could feel it coming out my throat and i felt my knees shacking so as soon as i walked in the office they were there with a student who was in the street a little girl and she didnt come to school and i was able to calm my self down but my question is why does my brain immediatley go straight to panic mode how can i think rationally before i panic was this normal for me or did i over react without knowing the cause. someone please resond.

Mona, you did not over-react. Any normal person would have felt just like you did. That person should have never said what they did because they could not have known why the police were there. I promise you, the police would not have told anyone they were there to arrest you, just that they wanted to see you. If you were going to be arrested, they would have done it once they saw you. They are not allowed to tell anyone, your boss, co-worker, not anyone, why they wanted to see you. That just shows what gossip can lead to.

thank you cause siince yesterday that that happend i felt like im going back to where i started bloodpreasure was high and i was worried the whole day and today i was feeling a little down cause im getting sick due to the weather and i just feel down but talking to you makes me feel a little better thank you so much. :D
