Hi there, thanks for reading. Please forgive me this may be a long post but I want to give as much information as possible. So, my ex girlfriends mother is not in a good way and I want to help but unsure of how. Background information: Mid-40s, Divorced, 2 kids. Around 2006 she "diagnosed" herself with Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromag ... ensitivity). I won't get into the details but whether or not she had this "disease" is still unknown. She is adamant that she has it and spent the last 5 years consumed with this and would tell anyone she could. Whether she has it or not is kind of a moot point. She recently lost her mother and has been worst since. Lately she has been feeling very guilty about not telling the government about some funds she received, not telling anyone that she had someone stay in her public housing apartment for a little while, she thinks the government is monitoring her, tapping her phones, watching her. She unhooked the ground wire in her apartment now she thinks the government is going to come after her for it and whatnot; very irrational, very confrontational, and maybe a little suicidal? What kind of options are there. My ex gf has some aunts and uncles here but she is estranged from her father so she do not really have a lot of people to turn to. Can anyone tell me what this sounds like? How I can get help? I very much appreciate it. Thanks.

I'm not a doctor, but can tell you that she needs to see one.. it's imperative. Have someone close to her insist on this. It sounds like she may be schizophrenic, which can be treated with medication. Whatever she has, she is a danger to herself and others if she doesn't get checked out.

This definitely sounds like a chemical imbalance. Both my aunt and my grandmother suffered the exact symptoms and this was the cause. My grandmother has been on meds ever since and is 100% better. This poor woman definitely needs to see a doctor.
