Stress Center Peer Support

So, I have this stupid fear about the "end of the world". I am a Christian and I believe that God only knows when that will happen and how it will happen but I can't help but thinking about it! I recently watched the movie 2012 and it FREAKED ME OUT!! People say that the world will end in 2012 and I keep thinking about it! I try not to let that get to me because I am Christian and I believe in God but it really scares me! Any Advice?

I wouldn't worry and stress about it, because if this is about to happen (which I sincerely doubt) there is nothing you or I or anyone else can do about it. We cannot worry about things upon which we have absolutely no control. If you are a Christian, as am I, then you know that if the world is about to end, it is on His terms and nobody elses. Place your faith in Him and all wil be fine. He says not to worry, so please don't. Take care.

Hi Panicfree-Flyer gave a really good answer. I get the same worries, and I wonder, will the Internet be up and going? But you can't help but think when you see the world in chaos, which is a sign of the times of the last days. But never imagined our world as in Noah's days, when it was flood that was destructive. We live in such technological world that it does seem surreal about what the end would be like. Then I think about how some people have near death experiences and their life runs throught their minds, like a movie. And what is close than that then FB, there are photos posted all over the place of everyone's life.

We didn't have that available not too long ago. If you wanted a picture you had regular Kodak film and had to go have it processed and putting it on a computer for email meant you had to scan it first. Everything has rapidly increased since Noah's day and age. The people back then were concerned about growing some food, not fretting over their cell phone battery dying. I think this is a worry for many people and flyer gave a great answer that we don't have much control over it except to live the best life possible and be prepared for emergencies that we can control.
