Obsessing?... it's exhausting

Hi Everyone, I need some help if you have a few minutes to offer some advice.

I have been with my boyfriend for 5 months. He and his ex-girlfriend broke up about two years ago but within the past three months I have found notes and inappropriate pictures from her and of her. I am tired of feeling jealous. I shouldn't be considering he broke up with her and is with me - but it's hard to feel safe and confident in a relationship when his past is very much so in the present. I tried to explain this to him but he doesn't seem to "get it" - he says he deleted the pictures but I can't confirm that because he has now locked his account. He is irritated that I am still upset about this whole situation as he is one to just kick things under the rug, but I'm not. I currently don't even want to communicate with him because I am so upset...what do I do?

It seems to me from what you described that your boyfriend has something to hide. I don't think that he is being honest with you and he obviously doesn't trust you. I don't think he ever completely broke up with her if there are still pictures of her hanging around that you found recently. The fact also that he locked his computer tells you something. He is irritated because he was found out and can't explain himself or his actions. It appears that there is no relationship here. You should move on.

no one is worth having to obsess all the time and worry. especially with your condition. if he continues to do this or does change I would get rid of him.
