I ordered the program about 4 years ago. I never finished it (I had no need). Now I am pregnant (20 weeks) this is my 3rd pregancy. I am a high school teacher. I am having panic attacks at work again. This is the 4th week of school, and each day is a struggle. Can ANYONE out there give me some advice?
I teach Biology, I cannot function. I will be lecturing showing a powerpoint then it just hits..... I feel so helpless, I'm cheating my students, maybe hurting my baby, making my husband misserable. I can't do this anymore. The worst part is I CANT find my relaxation CD. HELP

I taught elementary school and started to develop panic attacks. They got so bad I decided to resign. I lost my job, my husband filed for divorce, I lost my home and moved in with my parents. I still can't really function. I think my parents are sick of me and hate me. I'm now on disability and can't figure out what to do with my life. So really, you could be me. I do understand though, and am proud of you for being so strong. Try to walk and do what you can. Don't give up. I understand what you mean about cheating your students (which is why i quit). But I promise you, not having structure in your day will be worse. You need your job. Please hold on, you can do it!

Oh.... so sorry about that. I am NOT giving up on myself, and my husband is not giving up on me either. Have you done the program? I am determined to do it but I need to get the stuff I'm missing. I hope things get better for you soon!

Even if you don't have the relaxation tape, there is no reason that you can't do the rest of the program.. The relaxation tape isn't "magic".... it is just a tape to help you relax. I think any tape would do. I'm not pushing any, but Dr. Emmett Miller has a tape that is considered a classic in the field. It has four different meditations on it. I also have found the book "Freedom From Fear" by Dr. Howard Liebgold to be very helpful. He is funny and insightful. He just has a slightly different way of conveying much the same information that is in the StressCenter.com material. I know that you can handle this. You just have to equip yourself with the tools to deal with the panic when it arises, and that is in the beginning sections of the StressCenter.com book and CDs , and also in the "Freedom from Fear" book. Please let us know how you are doing.

I was just wondering are you drinking anything with caffeine in it? Are you eating food with sugar in it? I know when I quit caffeine the anxiety/panic attacks stop. I'm soo sorry about what you are going through hang in there. Really think about what you are putting into your body. It's amazing how it affects us. It's going to to ok hang on.

WOW.... I am so hooked on chocolate, not to mentions diet coke
I know I need to stop. I also do eat too much sugar

Ok I need to stop that first.
Then just take it one day I mean one minute I mean... one SECOND at a time. I am anxious right now about going to school tomorrow. I am trying to come up with a plan. For sure I notice when I dont get a good night's sleep I am A LOT more vulnerable. So, I hope to sleep and also be prepared for tomorrow. I pray it goes well!

Oh my goodness Christina, if you could just stop the diet coke and the white sugar you will not believe the calm that will come over your whole being! Trust me, I have so been there and I still struggle with my sugar intake. I went off all of it 3 years ago and I could not beleive my life. Everything calmed down. I was like a new woman. The clarity and peace I felt was amazing. I would do it on the weekend cuz the withdrawal can be a little tough but it is so worth it. I went cold turkey and just ate an orange or pinapple slices whatever whenever the cravings got really severe but the peace you will get is unbeleivable! Sorry I didn't mean to go on and on but I just know. I've been there. Stop the sugary caffeeinated stuff and just wait and see you won't beleive it!

I really feel for you. Nobody really understands unless they have dealt with it before. I never thought I would get to where I am. I hope you do well. The program helped me very much and I'm glad I bought it. We don't have to live that way. You can be better.
Good Luck

Thank you all for the support!!!! It REALLY means so much! I bought some caffine free diet coke (I hope that is not bad for me ) and some organic carrot sticks for tomorrow. Now, all I need is lots of prayers. I know God will be with me. My prayers also go out to all of you..... God bless you all and keep you wrapped around his arms (The SAFEST place to be if you ask me!)

Christina, I'm so glad to be able to help. I'm praying for you. You are so right God will keep you safe through it all.I know I sound like I'm preaching to you but diet coke is horrible for your body and mind. Do some research on aspartame and you will probably not want another sip of that stuff ever again. I just bought a book on what drinking water can do for you and your body and mind. I never liked water .I did not like it at all before I read a the book. I found out about the benefits of water. It's changed my whole thinking about water, I used to just listen to different people tell me drink water, drink water.I was like, "yea ,yea ok." Now I learned why and how good it makes you feel. One of the books I bought off Amazon is Your Bodys Many Cries for Water by F. Batmanghelidij, M.D. I hope that's ok to share with you on here. I just wanted to tell you about it. It's woth a shot. Keep you in my prayers.
