Hello,
Could be hormones if you are female? I know I've had dizziness with perimenopause that had nothing to do with anxiety. Sometimes it does feel like everything starts to go south after 40....

Hey there is a very good website that is for women in peri or menopause. It is power-surge.com. I have gotten alot of insight there and a few laughs too. Lots of caring women who are experiencing just about everything under the sun. Check it out and it might shed some light on some of what's going on - I know it has helped me.

Symptoms of anxiety can be heightened in peri so they have lots of good advice. Take care

HEY, WHAT ABOUT US GUYS??!!!! I,ve been through the program several times about 5 years ago. I felt on top of the world, amazing results. Lately I've been suffering horribly from dizzy spells. That is for sure causing me panic attacks, 10+ anxiety. Everything is spinning, I try to sleep but I feel like the bed is spinning. I don't want end up in a hospital, I have my youngest son and occasionally my grandbaby girl. The off balance, vertigo,is really freaking me out, used to jog-3 to 5 miles/daily. I soke to my doc, and he prescribed a muscule relaxer, which helps some, and Vicodin which I can't take due to residual effects. I do the stretches, and recommended exercises. My last MRI showed 2 mild disc probs and severe lower back lumbar compression. I really abused my body: played football 4 years, Black belts in Korean karate, Tang so doo, Mai tai. I know for a fact that this has contributed. I feel afraid to leave the house in case my back goes out and I fall.......I'm open to suggestions, THX Ron

Hi Ron!
Sorry, didn't mean to exclude you guys!

Interesting that you said you had an MRI with mild disc problems and that the muscle relaxer helps. Hmmmm...
I went through a similiar situation about 1 1/2 years ago. I was so, so very dizzy and off balance that I had to hold onto the walls of the hospital to get to the ER. They ended up doing an MRI on me and it showed a mild C5-C6 disc protrusion in my neck. So, off to the physical therapist I went even though the neuro doctor said it wasn't caused by that. The physical therapist helped me alot by releasing the tension in my neck muscles. She said that could cause the dizziness and she helped me alot! Maybe that is what is contributing to yours??
I know how bad it feels to have severe dizziness because I had it for 6 weeks non stop and still get it occasionally. Part of mine is also caused by fluid build-up in my inner ear related to allergies and sinus. It's been all kinds of fun - not!
Hope that helps - it's not all hormones!!

Hope you get to feeling better soon.
