Here is a list of some of the things I avoid or feel uncomfortable b/c of my anxiety: public places, speaking in public, interviews, new job, new people, being assertive, thinking about driving on the freeway, thinking about driving in the city, loud people, socializing, fear of embarrassment of having a panic attack, and I wasn't at all interested in taking this course b/c I felt I couldn't handle something else to do I was or still am depressed and didn't realize it. I am on day 5 session one, I need to get a handle on this because I am not happy living this way and I want to get off medication can anyone else relate?

Well Mojo, you've pretty much covered it LOL
For me the idea wasn't to make the panic attacks go away, it was learning how to cope once the attack started. The thing I learned was that once I learned how to breathe my way thru an attack, they came around less and less. I'll have an attack maybe once a week now (from 6 - 10 a day). Now when one comes by, it just seems natural to me. They don't scare me anymore. I actually went a whole month without having one. I'm not scared of them anymore, so they don't come around often.
