Hi all,
I have made many many posts on here in the past three or four years but if you do not know me, here is a little bit about my background.
I had tremendous anxiety, obsessive scary thoughts (OST's specifically suicide, yet I was never suicidal) panic attacks, etc.
It was horrible and I completely understand what you all are going through. I needed constant reassurance that I was "OK" or normal. I had to tell someone (usually my mother or boyfriend) my scary thoughts just so they could tell me it is ok and not weird.
Silly, right? But definitely a distraction. It was so great at distracting me from feeling calm, good, peaceful. It kept me in that circle and made me feel bad.
Then I found Lucinda and her program!! What wonderful tools for me to change my life!! Yes, I did the program three time. I learned more and more each time.. I got more out of it and learned and retained so much more.
Now here I am three ish years later and I am recovered!
It still feels a bit weird to say that but I am!
I am now living with my boyfriend in a very cute downtown area with my lab. We are so happy!! I never thought I could move out of my parents house. I did. My bf travels a lot and I never thought I could be alone, due to the fear of me losing control or my mind and freaking out!
I LOVE my time alone now. he will leave for days at a time and I am perfectly fine and actually look forward to my time alone.
Now, for the good stuff. After sharing my recovery and gratefulness for StressCenter, I was contacted to do a phone testimonial for the "Attacking Anxiety & Depression" program. I told my story to gentleman and a week and a half later, found out that I am chosen to go to L.A. and film a television testimonial for The Attacking Anxiety Program!!
How exciting and a perfect way for me to "give back" to StressCenter huh? They (specifically Lucinda) gave me ME back. I am actually better than I was before. I am so excited to head out there and I was told I may even meet Lucinda! I would just be so excited if I could tell this women that her story and program have helped me SO much and without it, I don't know where I would be.
I think this is a story to share with those of you who are going through this. When I was, I would have loves someone to tell me this. That they are recovered. That they are going to film a commercial for this specific program. It just shows that StressCenter does not pay their people to do these types of commercials. It is people who really WANT to get out there and tell people about how much this program WOKRS! Yes, you have to be the one to do the work, but there is a guide that tells you exactly how to do it step by step and you can keep it for the rest of your life! What could be better?
Keep on doing the program and practicing your new life skills!!!
Good luck to all of you and if I could do it, you CAN DO IT TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. I ran my first 5 K on Saturday. Two months ago I couldn't even run a minute. I didn't even stop to walk. I ran all the way (3.1 miles) in 35 minutes!!! YAY!
It's amazing what you tell yourself you can do!!
