Stress Center Peer Support

I have an appointment soon to go back to the doctor which is a different one that won't overmedicate me like the last horrible one.. but this is the 2nd time like usual. The antidepressants don't work for me my body just wont' work with them i get the shakes bad i try explaining it to doctors but they won't listen...

Phsychologist told me my body is sensative to stuff and its easy to get rid of depression once you know the problem that my issue was mainly anxiety gave me ativan.. I trust xanax more since in 2006 when my panic disorder had first started i took it and it all stopped. Then i got on an antidepressant then got off when i was better feeling.

The xanax was what put all these symptoms away. But doctors will not understand that it works good for me. They are so hard headed on giving it. It just makes me frustrated and stressed out.

Last time i went i had a panic attack in the doctors office worried about the doctor giving me an antidepressant and not understanding which happened !!! so my fear was right !

I hope this time he will understand. I dont know what other doctor to go to .. i've tried 2 the other psychiotrist now this doctor. Idk... I see people on here taking xanax their doctors not giving them problems with it.

I've been getting cravings for cigarettes and alcohol or something to help me cope with the stress its been hard even reading the program.

Why don't you calmly tell the doctor that in 2006 when your panic disorder first started, what helped you, both about the xanax and the antidepressant that worked? Most doctors are glad to hear about a patient's history with what medications helped them and which ones did not--then they had a better idea what to prescribe. That is what I would suggest you do. Ask him/her what they intend to prescribe and why. Every doctor I have ever been to will tell you and explain their reasoning.

I have told that to two of my doctors. One a family doctor the other a Psychiotrist. Now im going to a differen't family doctor and hope he will understand. This whole thing is stressing me out actually giving me more anxiety i hate when people do not understand.
