Stress Center Peer Support

I am just new to the program, I have only listened to the relaxation CD. I am a very spiritual person and my family is concerned that this program will interfer with my relationship with God and my dependancy on Him. I don't agree but I would like to hear from any other Christains that are on the program. I lost my husband in a horible ski doo accident in July 07 and much of what I am going throuh was trigered by that event. I have most of my life fought depression and anxienty and panic attacts I just feel I need some extra help.

Welcome... I'm really glad and excited for you starting the program... I'm sorry about your husband... I know he's in a better place and not suffering... My heart goes out to you. As far as the dependency on God ever leaving you because of the program... My personal opinion is that it will actually bring you closer to Him... If you go back to the first page of the forums there is a section on spirituality... Personally I have become closer to Him... This program doesn't alter your feelings in that way... it gives you the tools that you need for everyday stresses that us anxious people don't know how to deal with... Anxiety is in the bible and when you go to the other forum you will see a lot of versus and things from the bible that you can refer to so that you can be even closer to God... Listen you aren't being forced to do anything here... Just try it out and if you feel that you are being pulled away from God... you can always stop... this program is wonderful though... and these forums are amazing... you'll be surprised...
