Hi Ladies-
My cycle seems to be having a mind of it's own. Early, late, early, late. How do you guys just accept and move on instead of thinking "cancer" or "what if something is wrong"? I don't want to be this old, and I don't want to focus on a maxi pad all day.

It will only be for a short "moment" or "season".

Not too helpful...I did find help with Women to Women clinic that you can go online. I did take their supplements and cream. I think it helped me...but then it could have all been a placebo. Progesterone cream helped me...unless like I say, it was a Placebo. Let me know what you find out. Paislee

My cycle has a mind of it's own too. My doc says it's ok if it's between 21 to 28 days apart. I wouldn't think cancer for you. If it really bothers you, see your doc for some peace of mind. Good luck to you!

Well, during perimenopause, your cycle will do that. See your DR and they can give you a blood test to see where your levels are at. Unless you feel it is just the beginning stages of the Change, which your description is exactly what happens.

What's wrong with me that I remember the distant past much better than what I had for breakfast? I had similar irregularities and remember the last episode like the finale of a fireworks show. I was actually on a plane and could not keep up with myself. Once I was there (my destination), I thought I'd pass out. But it finally stopped and that was the last I saw of it. Good riddance.
Your ob/gyn may be able to test estrogen levels which could be helpful now and later.

Yep, mine was like that too and I stopped taking any HRT as well, because it seemed to increase the days and flow. At least to me that was part of the cause.

I know what you are going through. I have been going through it for 8 years and counting. But it has been a yoyo for the past 2-3 yrs. It is not cancer , it is part of us women life to unjust to before menopause sets in. I am almost 49 yrs. old on December 8 . I have not found some thing to help me . When I go to see my Dr. I am going to ask what will help me . I hope you find some help from your Dr. Good Luck.

Hi newrunner, Welcome to the perimenopause and anxiety club.
I've been a member for 7-9 years - depending on if I count from the start of symptoms or the "official" diagnosis. I hope you enjoy rollar coasters - cause that is the ride your hormones are going to take you on, month after month!! Unfortunately, I am not a fan of rollar coasters.

Dealing with peri has done a number on my emotions and brought back anxiety issues I had not dealt with in years!
I've tried different stuff too, like the progesterone cream, so many supplements I should rattle when I walk. I can't really tell that anything helps. I'm still struggling through. I have good days and bad. I don't believe you have to worry about cancer.
There is a really good forum called power-surge.com that deals specifically with peri/meno issues. It's been very helpful to me.
God bless.

Thanks Silverlining--Wow, you have been dealing with it that long...that's a "scary thought"!
I'm at the stage now where I guess it is almost Menopause if you haven't had a period for a year. I was a late bloomer, so I'm just now at almost a year with no periods. Except one small one in July during the same time I had my second panic attack. Dr checked me out w/a Sonagram and I'm fine. Not fine with the bill though, when I felt I didn't need to be checked.
Thanks for the link or website info. I'm going to check it out. Blessings right back at you!

Hi Paisleegreen, congrats on making it to meno! You will probably start to feel much better as your hormones level out. I am sooo looking forward to that time!! My 11 year old daughter just started this year so I thought it would be a fair trade if I stopped....still waiting.... :p Well, at least as I have made it this far, I shouldn't have too much left!
I wouldn't have liked the bill either! I just got a surprise one from July of this year?? What??? Didn't the insurance pay that?!

Oh well, now I get to talk to the insurance company, the lab and the dr to try and work it out.
For us ladies, peri/meno and anxiety have very similiar symptoms. So for a lady going though both it can be doubly challenging. But WE can do it! After all, if we can make it through childbirth, pms and periods for years, this should be a piece of cake...right?!
