Hi, I am just starting the program and finding that I have more tension/anxiety. Mostly a feeling of resisting the added angst that I feel. A little about me is I have had OCD for 13 years different fears but the most prominent are based around HOCD, thinking I am gay or worrying that people are thing I am. I know that I am not, but the anxiety of the thoughts keeps the cycle going. What I am wondering is how long the added anxiety usually lasts? I seem to function fine on an everyday level but that last week I have had a noticeable amount of increased stress. I would like to know if anyone else has felt this?
Thanks

I think when we begin to confront our anxiety it can seem to bring on a little more anxiety. Also when you have lived with anxiety for so long when you began to take on changes. Even though it is a very good change it is still a change and we naturally will become a little anxious.
I still have a little trouble sometimes when I feel no anxiety. My subconscious mind almost goes on alert. It took a while to learn such anxious behavior and it will take a little while to learn new techniques to live anxiety free. It is completely normal to feel this way. You are not the first, only or last to feel this way. Keep pushing through. Anyone that can go through anxiety and panic attacks needs to give themselves credit. Because you are so much stronger than you give yourself credit for.
I like to make a joke when I have bad days and that is that I am just going to give the anxiety part of me the middle finger. LOL
Good Luck you are right on track.
