Feeling a bit overwhelmed being new to this program, although what I have read has really made sense to me. I have had a problem with anxiety most of my adult life and the one thing I know I want to do is do the foot work and get on with my life. If anyone has any suggestions with the beginning I would appreciate them.

Deany,

Hello, I've been through the program and my advice would be to allow yourself to take baby steps, be gracious with yourself. You will have progress and set backs but you will get better. The foot work is the hardest part but no one can do it for us. I look forward to reading your victory reports in the future. Blessings

Deany,

This program works. Sometimes I have to backtrack and review and each time I do I learn a little more. Occasionally I have a flash of "I get it now I really do!" And every time I review something over it gets clearer. I take the workbook and cards with me everywhere and read them any time I get a spare moment.
It's a lot of work but I don't beat myself up if I don't do absolutely everything perfectly. It's a lifetime committment.
I just know I feel better, though I do get periods where the program itself causes anxiety. Thats because I am facing my fears instead of hiding. I understand that and it doesn't bother me.
God Bless, stay on task and you will be fine

Deany, I agree. Take it slow, praise yourself for even your smallest accomplishments, don't beat yourself for slips, and trudge on ahead with determination. I know you will see a difference in your life. Thankful to have you aboard and welcome to the group and program. It has been a life saver and I am excited for you to be starting it. Let us know if we can help in anyway. Best of luck to you! Beverly

Welcome, Deany! :) I agree also with the others. Take it slow, "babysteps" and keep telling yourself you are OK and that you are going to be OK. Keep on posting! Paislee

I would like to thank everyone that replied to my post and I really needed to hear that someone gets periods of the program csusing anxiety because I think that is what I have been feeling these last couple of days. I want to do this in 2 days and do it perfectly. Thanks again.
