I had been having a really rough day today and
feeling overwhelmed with all the things I wanted to do and didn't get done. And I was able to scratch some things off of my
"to do" list and that helped a bit, but I just remembered I had the Feel Better Fast cd in the player so I gave it a listen and it really
helped me get my thoughts back on track. I highly recommend getting it out if it's been a while since you played it. It's very affirming.
I wish I had thought of playing it much much earlier today ...haha
It's all good. I will sleep well now.

So sorry I didn't get all the tips on here it was too late and I was tired.
Here's the 7 tips to Feel Better Fast.
(it's good to write these down)
1. What am I feeling right now?
(anger, sadness, worry, etc.)
2.What made me feel this way?
am I tired or exhausted, mad or irritable?
3.Am I over analyzing or over reacting?
Taking things too personal, or too serious? Fueling the fire or disecting things?
4.How can I react in a way that would be
Healthier for me?
a 10 second time out, empowering self talk,"it's okay , no big deal"
5. How much will this Really Matter to me in a
year from now?
Will it matter in a week, a month ? Is it ruining my prescious present moment?
6. What can I do Right Now to feel more in control?
Use assertive behavior to express myself? refuse to react in an unconstructive way.
7. What do I need to do Right Now to feel better?
A treat, a friendly visit, exercise? Do you want to resolve or dissolve?
Breaking this addiction of panic and fear is doable and takes time, give yourself all the time you need and TLC.
I hope this helps

Thanks jillzmind

Those are great points to think about when in the middle of a self induced "crisis." The CD you're referring to, did it come with your program? I purchased the program maybe 5 years ago? and it didn't come with such a cd.

Hello P&P
yeah this CD did come with the program. I ordered it a little over a year ago. I wonder if they sell it seperate if you wanted it? I did just post the bare minimum points . Lucinda does elaborate more on each item and at the end as well.It was made for the times you are down and you need a pick me up!!

Hey Jill -
Funny you would mention this CD. I've had my program for over a year now and I just discovered and listened to the CD for the first time about two weeks ago. Somehow I overlooked that it was even included (it was hiding behind CD 15 and I never noticed it before). I was also happy with what I found on the CD. It wrapped up many of the major points in the program in an easy to listen to, compact format.

I have simplied my stress reduction strategy.
I self talk beginning with.....
I am safe
No need to overreact it does nothing to help the situation.
I survey my surroundings and people. Others may be reacting but I am still safe.
If my emotions are strong, I cry, get angry etc but I limit it. Keeping them in is toxic.
I use humor to offcenter the situation if appropriate.
I say to myself I am still safe.
This works for me.
ps.....I use prayer also for complete focus and retrospect.

I forgot one thing...
My main focus is on my self being safe. I dont THINK about anything until I have that fully understood in my head.
