I've heard many times people being afraid of rejection and when they do get rejected they feel that they aren't good enough, that they are worthless or bad or whatever. This is not true!

Rejection is just a matter of prefrence. It is like choosing an apple pie over a cherry pie. Is the apple pie worthless?

People also aren't only rejected for their short comings and weaknesses but they can also be rejected for their strengths (usually out of jealousy and when people aren't ready themselves to look at certain aspects of themselves).

Those are all good points, Mike. I'd also add that when we fear rejection, it's a sign that we don't put much value in ourselves. That is to say, we require validation from outside through others' opinions to feel worth. So if we constantly have a fear of rejection, that probably means we have low self esteem and need to work on recognizing our own value and self worth.
