This is my first time here and I wanted to say hello to all. I have bipolar disorder, have had it for over 10 years and i have a servere case. My anxiety and panic attacks have gotten out of control, and I'm hoping that being able to talk with people who undertsand will be a big help for me. I also hope that I can be of support to you guys. I'm on medication, lithium & geodon. Was on a lot more meds but I ended up having kidney failure 1 month ago, so they changed my meds and that's been a struggle. Panic attacks and crazy anxiety are new to me and it's scary.
well, thanks for reading and I hope you all are having a great day and if not, keep posting, i think we're all here to help eachother.

Hi Puff!
I am a bipolar as well and I understand the ups and downs of it all. Right now I am in the downs of it myself. My doctor says that this is not clinical depression but situational depression.

I take gabapentin and mirtazapine at night to help me to sleep. The only problem is that I have trouble regulating my sleep with it. Sometimes I have to take 3-800mg of the gabapentine because the meds are not working. I will have to do that for a few days and then all of a sudden I am like sleeping 14-16 hours a day so I have to cut it back to two gabapentine and even then I am sleeping too much. I have found my medication is causing a burning in my stomach but this is the only stuff that seems to work for me.

I have panic attacks as well as the anxiety so I completely understand what you are going through. It is hard to be like this but I do believe the program will work for you and me. I just started it a few days ago. I started the exercise and the breathing. I really love the breathing part since it really does seem to work right off the bat.

Nice to meet you.

Hi Puffs, and welcome to the site. There are some wonderful people here both on the forums and in the online chat (which you could try when you feel up to it).

We are all on here to help one another. I am currently running through the program a second time as I have had some real stress and anxiousness issues lately.

Take care... it will all get better with time. Happy to see you here!
