Hi
I'm a lurker who has been going through the program for a while . I havent posted cause I was reading the old post . I just want to thank the people at Stress center for helping me to get through the last few weeks . I am completely agoraphobic and until may 2 I was housebound . Then I was evacuated from my house because of the flood . It took my whole house , all of it . We all got out safe and alive but I'm now a homeless homebound agoraphobic ! LOL!I was only on lesson 4 but I think without it I would be a reckless mess right now. The good part is that I learned the skills that have helped me to get through all this . The bad part is that my attacking anxiety program is at the bottom of a pile of rubble . If I can find it does anyone know if it can be salvaged ? I had it on tape. I'm sure the workbook can't be salvaged but I'm thinking the tapes might be . They were completely submurged in water but I don't know if I can save them . AGHHH I miss my relaxation cd!I've missed reading the post here too . I've been staying in different places every night so if it may take me a while to answer any post ..ok now I'm just rambling . I just wanted to thank yall from the bottom of my heart . I've been through so much the last 2 weeks and without the skills I learned I know I wouldn't have made it .

Hi Jennie-

I have a whole set of unopened CDs from StressCenter.com that I am not using right now. Would you like to use them? When you are done, or get in a more stable place, you could send them back to me? Let me know.

Newrunner,

You are an absolute angel!! I was going to suggest to Jennie to ask StressCenter.com if they might possibly be kind hearted enough to replace her set for her.

I live in Memphis and we got 6.5 inches of rain. Our back yard flooded, but that was all. Some of the folks north and east of us got a foot or more and their houses were just innundated with water in a matter of minutes. It was in our papers and was absolutely awful to see all the damage.

God bless you Jennie. Hang in there. At least you made it out in one piece and that is a lot to be thankful for because you are irreplaceable.

Hey Samcat,
I"m not sure if they would replace my program cause I bought it off ebay. I know Memphis got alot of rain too. They've shown on the on the new some of the footage from there too . I think the whole state got slammed with this .We have had fema and all kinds of people down at the house . It's so weird to see all of your stuff in the front yard and now the house is completely gutted . We still have to find out if we can rebuild or if it will be condemed . I know that 2 months ago I didnt even leave my house expect to go in the yard . Now I"m traveling to my grandmothers everynight and heading out in the morning to go back to the house and try to clean or salvage what we can . I'm not at the point of driving . That's what my first big goal was going to be . LOL. Now I guess my first big goal has been just leaving the house . When the rescue people tell you your being evacuated and you have to leave it's like a shock I just grabbed some clothes and left . I never thought that it would get into the house or I might have tried to grab something else. All I had time to get was some clothes, my dogs and myself. Without the program I think I would have broken down way more than I have . It's just heartbraking to see everything you ever owned water damaged and thrown into a dump truck . My four big things I was going to try to find and salvage were my great grandmothers bible (ruined) , her picture of Jesus she left me (found and can be saved ) , my box with my diploma , ss card , important papers and a bible my grandmother gave me ( never found it) and my attacking anxiety program ( havent located it and still looking ). I'll try to load some pic of the house when the flood waters were up . We still dont have any since the waters went down .

Hi Jennie-

WOW!! What devastation you are going thru. We bought some land with a house on it a couple of years ago, way up in Northern MN. We owned it about a year and a forest fire went thru and burnt the whole thing to a crisp. We didn't like it of course, but found that we just lost expectations of the future we envisioned, not memories really attached to the place. So- we had it clear cut and planted trees and now we have the world's shortest pine forest and it's doing great. I'm glad you are safe and can deal with the trouble. Sounds like you are doing a great job.

God will use this flood for good-- just imagine- you are no longer housebound and that is AWESOME! Keep it up. Whenever you have a stable place with a mailing address, let me know. I have the whole shebang. CDs, workbooks, whatever comes in the box. Send me a personal message if you'd like and I can give you my phone number, etc. to coordinate this transfer of goodies.

I'll pray for you as soon as I sign off.
Terri
