Hi everyone!
I have been suffering from anxiety for years off and on but since the week before Christmas I have not been able to eat very much. I have lost about 40 lbs. and have hardly had any nutrients. I noticed last week that my hair is starting to fall out more than usual (I have long hair so I know it looks like more that it probably is.) My dr. is having me get a blood test and I'm terrified of what they will find. (Plus, it doesn't help that I'm afraid of blood tests!) I think he just wants to check my iron levels since I'm probably anemic (sp?) but I'm so nervous they will find something else. I just started taking a b-complex vit. that is good for stress and I'm also just starting to drink reliv (nutritional supp. drink) but I hate not being able to eat (due to anxiety produced nausea). Has anyone ever had nutritional problems due to anxiety? I could really use some encouragement.

Thanks Malikye. Sounds like you were very much like me. I'm glad you are feeling better. How did you blood test turn out? I'm terrified of what they will find.

I lost about 30 pounds and was tested for everything from cancer to diabetes. They found nothing! Just anxiety producing some pretty crazy body symptoms. Hope everything works out for you.

Yes I lost 30 lbs in 2 months....Hair was falling out and my skin would cut sooooo easily. Yes anxiety/panic had disturbed my eating habits. I had even more trouble gaining weight. I went to 2 different doctors and ran so many tests till my vein was all bruised. Everything was normal despite the physical signs. So I saw a nutrionist and she ordered some test and found that my diet lacked protein and potassium. Even my hairdresser was amazed at my hair loss and all these little cuts on my fingers...Protein and potassium I have yet found in any vitamin. So I started eating peanut butter as she advised and bananas...and it really helped my body. Then to give me an appetite and calm my nerves my Doctor prescribed Xanax....that helped so much too. Now I'm back to more than normal. I now could afford to lose 10 pounds....but in a good way. Not depriving my body from the nurtrients it needs..
