Hi all. I am a 31 year-old male who is new to the program (first week.) I am having difficulty getting started because I have ED and am afraid it is the cause of my anxiety/stress/depresion and not the other way around.

I've been to a urologist and other specialists but they can find nothing conclusively wrong with me physically. My question is twofold: has anyone experienced ED that was brought on by your anxiety/stress; and has anyone overcome their ED problem once you successfully finished the program and gone thru recovery?

My extreme fear that this is a physical problem and not simply a by-product of my stress and anxiety is hampering my progress with the program. I'm in a catch 22.

Also, does anyone know how I can ask this question of staff members who might know of someone who had a similar problem and conquered it once they recovered from their anxiety/depression? Is there a tel. no. I could call? I would be most grateful for any help you might be able to provide.

lastudent,

sorry to hear of your difficulties. I am sure your anxiety can cause these issues, especially if it is performance related.

I know for myself while I do not have the problem per se, there are times I am intimiate with my wife but if I begin to have negative thoughts, well the impact is negative to the mood.

I generally hope I can fight through it without her realizing I have lost the mood for a moment.

Anyway, good luck with your issues. I am hoping that the program will help you with your anxiety and cure your other issues.
