Hi there!

I suffer from HORRIBLE seasonal allergies and I woke up feeling pretty free of anxiety, but realized my ears were completely plugged up and the anxiety kicked in.

I hate this. I go through this EVERY summer and I didn't think it was going to get this bad this summer, but it finally did.

I have this horrible habit of the most miniscule health things giving me great worry and it makes me crazy. I am convinced I will pass out, spin out or lose control BECAUSE MY EARS ARE PLUGGED UP???!!!

Anyone having any good advice for trying to calm yourself down when something like this hits?

Thank you!!

Just the fact it makes you crazy means that you are not crazy. I guess just positive talk and stop worry and stop the OSTs, as much as you can. I use the logical thinking that it hasn't happened yet so there is no reason to think it will. Hope this helps a bit. Have you tried any allergy drugs (Zyrtec, Claritin, etc.) or shots??

Hi, Heather. I'm on Zyrtec right now and nasonex to no avail. I've tried everything so my doc suggested an allergy doc and shots. That's where I'm headed next week for testing. It's funny how I'm not nervous at ALL about that, but the plugged up ears makes me think I'm dying!!

Thank you!
