HI all! I get a daily meditation on the scriptures and thought someone out there might need to here it also today. God is with us through this all- please never forget that. Take care all, and God bless! Beverly

"Take courage, it is I, do not be afraid!" He got into the boat with them and the wind died down. ~Mark 6:45-52

Sometimes we're afraid. We can accept our situation, knowing that it may bepainful and challenging, but that it can be driven out by love. God is love and yearns to share His love with us. Jesus shows his disciples that He is
stronger than the storm lashing out against them. He is with them, and theyneed not be afraid.

I pray that I may accept all that is happening in my life, knowing thatGod's love can drive away the fear that is with me. I pray that I may allow Jesus to calm my fear and show me His presence with me.
"Here and happy because of my three little angels- Marie, Chad and Cady."

this is just the Scripture I needed. God answers prayer!

Earlier I prayed, "Lord, I know I should read your Scripture, but I don't know where to begin. Please lead me".

This would be good for the Spirituality Forum. Thanks!

Maeggie,
This is too weird. Our preacher used this very verse last Sunday. His main point was that it says "surely goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives," not it MIGHT follow us. We have to be open the his limitless mercies- not one a day or every other day, but as many as our Lord is willing to rain upon us. For people like us, we tend to think we don't deserve it or we we're too caught up in our misery to accept his goodness. Thanks for the post. Beverly

Thanks for the posts. I too am a Christian and am looking forward to the tools this program has to offer, but also know that my source of strength and hope is in Christ the Lord. Here is a verse that my wife shared with me. Exodus 14:14 check it out.

She also bought me a book and had another one she gave me. They are both very much on topic and look great. One is a new one by Max Lucado called Facing your Giants and the other one is Be Anxious for Nothing by Joyce Meyer.

This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.

On another note, this is what is going on with me:
I finally received the program and it seems to be professionally done and looks like it may have some tools that will help. Because my job is the main soure of anxiety, I will be interested to see how it will help for that. I am so waffaling on my job. I am an Area Director dealing in a pressure packed, politically charged environment with people that are mean spirited. If I take a voluntary demote to step out of the high level of pressure and politics I could end up with an even worse situation if they brought in a person that I would direct report to that would be in my office every day as opposed to now where my boss works 90 miles away from me. I wouldn't have the strain of dealing with some higher level decisions and mean spirited business partners, but could end up with giving up a big chuck of money for a worse situation. If I leave all together, it will delay me getting my retirement from age 60 to age 65 (I am 52 now and 7.5 years is much closer than 12.5 years). Trying to analyze all the different scenarios and how they would play out gets a little overwhelming and hard to determine the best route to take. I keep praying about it, but don't get any difinitive leadings. A few people have said, put your resume out there and see what happens, but I don't seem to be motivated to do that (I did apply for 2 jobs and didn't even get an interview...is that an answer to prayer? I don't know). I was getting ready to apply for another job and had everything about ready to turn in when the job closed (it said open continuously on the posting. Again, was that an answer to prayer?) I am being put into situiations that are very uncomfortable for me as I have to be very assertive and possible fire someone who is very strong willed and a bully. Anyway, hang in there eveyone and I will look forward to any thoughts or prayers you have.
Thanks for "listening"

Good to read your scriptures and posts. I can't sleep cuz hubby is snoring so much so I just thought of the scripture "He that keepeth thee will neither slumber nor sleep." Don't remember off hand where it is.

Waldo, Rom.8:28 is excellent to remember concerning your job. "God works all things for good for them that love Him and are called according to His purpose." He has a purpose even in all our anxiety/depression. He is working thru this program and like you said possibly no interviews is an answer. I believe things will turn around for you as you work the program. You will no longr need to be bullied because you will be assertive and discover your many talents. The anx/dep will flee from all of us as we now have tools from this program and mostly each other to get us thru. "We are more than conquerors thru Christ Jesus." Like that one too. You're all in my prayers. It is so great having people that can relate with you isn't it, it's like, finally...someone understands. :)
