hi....does anyone know anything about cholesterol? i went to the doctors last week and got a physical and had some blood tests done (i am a 22 year old female) and everything came back fine except that my cholesterol was 77/105....77 for the good cholesterol and 105 for the bad. my doctor said that it was perfectly fine, but on the blood work sheet both numbers are in the "high" column.....so of course i am worried about that. does anyone know if these numbers are ok, or should i be worried? thanks....

I wish mine were that good! 77 is really good for the HDL and 105 is good for the LDL. Not sure why this would be considered high by the lab. ?? Unless the lab now considers anything over 100 for LDL levels as high-but even then it's not much over.

I agree with Mary, I wish my numbers were that good! Those numbers are perfectly fine...I wouldn't worry about them at all. My LDL is 145 and my dr. said that was just slightly high and nothing I should worry about...to just make some diet and exercise changes.

Seems your levels are OK.
My overall in November was 173.
HDL was low - 42 (a change stating >45 for males is in my documentation though it originally said >40.
My LDL is 110 but the sheet says range is <130.
Looks like your all set!
Have a great night and don't worry.

Those levels are great!
HDL or "<span class="ev_code_RED">H</span>appy cholesterol" levels should be above 60 to give good protection against heart disease.
LDL or "<span class="ev_code_RED">L</span>ousy cholesterol" should be below 100. That is optimal anyway. Having a LDL level of 107 is still pretty darn good! It's almost like getting a 93% on a test. It's still considered an "A", right? So don't worry! You're doing SOMETHING right! Wish I was!

Hi, I am an herbalist and a nutritional counselor working in a Doctor's office on a private contract basis. Those numbers are generated for males over 40 years of age and have NOTHING to do w/ reality !! If they give you anxiety ~ release it and move on to what ever makes you feel great ! (they are not designed to make a 22 year old feel god !)
A wonderful addition to anyone's day that is anxious in a natural supplement called 5 HTP or hydroxytryptophan. It is a mood enhancer/stabalizer ~ no side effects, water solluable and "money in the bank" when it comes to anxiety and/or mild to moderate depression. Feel free to contact me for more infomation. I so want you to feel relief/better.

Take good care !
