Just wondering??? do we have to elimate all Caffeine??
Cafe, Tea, Coke...etc
I have but there's my Friday nights where I go to a local cafe bar with friends and Cafe latte are my weakness.. so I have 1 or 2 cups once a week, with good friends.
Question do I have to elimate that too?
Is anyone having great success with this program and still manage to squeeze in a cup or 2 of caffeine during the week.
Thank you for listening

I think everyone is different. Some people can tolerate it more than others. I know I thought I could tolerate one or two cups/week... but I learned that after I totally eliminated it from my system, and then had it (even one cup), I felt awful. It took a few times of feeling that before I really believed it. For me, it's not even worth it. I have seen this organic brew at the health food store, completely caffeine free, but I've lost the taste for it and really love different herbal teas. Good luck with your experiment!

Or just have a decaf latte, or green tea

I used to think that I had MS because of my shaking, but when I seriously cut back on my caffeine I found out (go figure) that was the problem!

I love my coffee though so I decided to treat myself on Friday mornings and stop at my favorite coffee place on the way to work for my Americano. And it's Fridays only...and I get the smaller size now too! :) So far so good with this routine - and no anxious side effects anymore!

I sleep better not having coffee at night (I don't really drink iced/sweet tea or sodas), so when I decided to cut that part out I switched to the green tea as well. Also TAZO has some really nice tasting hot teas - I particularly like the Wild Sweet Orange one.

Happy Tasting!

Hi,
I love my coffee with the Delight creamers so much that I started getting as early as 1:30 a.m. just to treat myself and watch tv alone. It got so bad that I not only wasn't sleeping but the caffeine caused me to go all day without eating. Then I got sick, my immunity was suppressed and I got MERSA twice. I ended up in the hospital with it in my thumb (from biting my fingernail) the first time then it got in my face above my eye all within 2 months. I forget alot anyway and decided to see what I felt like with and without coffee. I noticed I bite my fingernails with coffee therefore my anxiety is higher. I have an occasional half cup of coffee now and I don't get up like I used to. I am going into Session 3 today so take care.

I drink caffeinated soda / ice tea from time to time but have made a conscious effort since my now failed diet in 2002/2003 to not intake caffeine.

Last night I went to a restaurant for dinner as I was away on business. I had like 3 or 4 diet cokes (of course it is not decaffeinated) and then I went back to my room and had my last two beers - bad combo! I could feel my heart beating, while not fast, it was definitely beating harder than normal.

I was also thinking negatively, but, that is my own fault.

I love my coffee too, but i notice every time I have gone through a period of bad anxiety (like the last couple of months) I have to completely give up caffeine or I just can't sleep...but I do agree with the other posters - it is different for everyone :)

I still have my green tea. It has some caffeine but not as much as coffee. Sometimes I have regular tea also. As long as I don't overdo it I'm Ok. I guess it depends on how you react to caffeine and how bad your anxiety is. My anxiety has decreased an awful lot with this program even with still drinking the green tea.

I also switched to green tea for a little caffeine and I let my self have a Coke once a week on Saturday if I'm not feeling anxious. You have to get off of it and then add back a little here and there to see what you can handle.
