So I'm thinking if the hormones are what control our brain and then this is where the anxiety and depression start, let's stop changing the brain chemicals and start with the hormones. I could be so wrong in my understanding of this. I think I am going to request a hormone blood test at my next OBGYN apt. to understand my personal levels of cortisol, etc. And then I may better understand what is happending specifically with me and my anxiety. I am not on meds. Has anyone tried the hormone replacement therapy options route instead of the anxiety meds?

I'm with newrunner! I took bioidentical progesterone and it helped me big time. I stopped after several months and have been fine since. Look into it!
