Has anyone noticed that when it's that 'Time of the Month' The anxiety symptoms get worse?
It seems like all of my symptoms get worse around

Absolutely I have posted this same question and I have had a huge response. It seems to affect most women more at that time. I am more irritable, aggravated, anxious , and obsessively negative. I hate it. I feel like I only have about two good weeks a month. I am a mess the week before and a mess the week during. It is hard being a women sometimes, darn those hormones LOL.

Thanks for the reply;
It seems like PMS/irriability symptoms are magnified 100%!!!!!!!
I get more panic attacks, more heart palpitations
and overall feel so much more of a WRECK !!!!!!
How do you cope with these issues?
I feel like I was doing well following the program all week until Aunt Flo had to come to visit!!!

DebDeb, what helps me is knowing why I am having the anxiety. Then I can deal with it and say to myself..."It is just anxiety. It will go away." It doesn't always go away, but it sure does help me get through that time. What was bad for me though was last month I had a two week period. UGH! Perimenopause will do that to you though. I just had to grin and bear it and use my tools and skills. They do really work!

Oh my - have you gone to the doctors? that's
a really long time to be menstruating.
I guess our hormones go crazy and make anxiety
so much more worse. I am only on session 2 but
I am trying to keep the panic attacks at bay by
doing the breathing exercises and listening to the relaxation cd. Also I am more aware of the body symptoms and trying to tell myself that it's just anxiety and that it will go away.
But it just seems to be SO much more harder to
RELAX and CALM down.

The good thing is, the less anxious you become, tho better your body symptoms become- and that includes PMS. I use to have a really hard time with PMS too. Now that I am feeling great, the PMS has gotten so much better.

Thanks!
That's great to know. I am only on session 2 but I am learning how to relax my body. The lightheadedness and heart palps weren't too bad this month but I still feel nervous. I'd better
practice my breathing, and positive thinking.

Hi DebDeb.
I know how you feel with the lightheadness. I had it for many, many, years. It was horrible.

My anxiety is heightened at that time of the month for me too. Some months are worse than others. The tools in the program seem to be helping with that. I also take a vitamin B complex and a calcium supplement which seem to help some too. Darn that Aunt Flo
