I'm really proud of where I am at right now. The program is really helping me to over come the anxiety and stress that I have been feeling. I'm working thru week 2 and I just got some news that my mother in law in not doing so well. It is tearing me up inside to see my husband hurt like this. He and his mother are super close and he has been taking care of her for the last 8-9 years (she has progressive Multiple Sclerosis).
The last 3 years have been especially trying on my husband as well as our relationship. His father left his mother when she began to use a walker/wheelchair with the MS. He could not handle not being taken care of anymore. My husband @ 21 years old, stepped up and became the man off the house. From taking care of Mom, to paying the bills, to anything else that needed to be done. Flash forward over the last 3 years. Mom has had countless surgeries (gallbladder, spinal surgery, partial leg amputation, scraping of bed sores) and she is still fighting. As I said earlier. It is tearing me up to see my husband hurt from all this, b/c for a while it was just those 2. I am trying to be a good support system for him and still maintain myself. How can I do this without falling apart?! I am working thru the panic portion ok, its the nervousness that I am concerned about that when she actually does pass. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Sorry for the rambling but I had to vent
