I've been having trouble swallowing. It seems like it just started out of the blue. It makes me feel like I can't eat in front of people and am scared that I'll choke. Now I'm feeling like I won't be able to swallow in my sleep. I've also had feelings of not being able to breathe. Help!

I would suggest going to an ENT and seeing if you have LPR, which is reflux that backs up into the larynx. Here is a link on it, which includes your symptoms.

Yours truly has it . The medicines that helps with this are PPIs. They reduce stomach acids, and include Nexium, Prevacid, Protonix and Aciphex. For me Nexium has been the best.

Happens to me from time-to-time too.
