Good morning everyone. I am not posting a "problem" I'm having, but just wanted to say today is a better day than yesterday. I've started week 2 (done the program before) and I HAVE had panic attacks (that is my main problem).

Since yesterday was a REALLY bad day, I decided to pre-emptively take 1/4 of a xanax pill. It has helped, but I'm still on edge (and a little sleepy).

I can do this. I KNOW I can. I WANT to.... but I also want this fixed - YESTERDAY! I have an appointment with my GP tomorrow morning for a followup to my ER visit last week (they say asthma attack and gave me an inhaler.. the more I think about it, it was just a TERRIBLE panic attack - but I got to ride in an ambulance, from work.... yippee... note the sarcasm - I'm still terribly embarrassed!)

Reading everyone's stories and successes (and even failures) is so helpful - you can not imagine. Thank you for being here.

It sounds like you are doing well and have great intentions. Good for you for taking control of your health and well-being.

Just to let you know, that sometimes the panic attacks will continue for a while. I don't think I'm completely free of them 100% and I've been through the program already, but I know how to get control back, which is really the important issue.

It's okay to have a panic attack - you will know what to do when it happens and that's what matters.
