I am making a casserole for my neighbors on Sat.
I just called her to see if it was ok and she was
so Happy!! YAY I made someone happy today!!
Her husband has cancer and they are going thru a lot of ups and downs. The Treatments didn't work
so now he is on painkillers.

She was so grateful and told me how wonderful it is to have neighbors like us. She asked how I was holding up with my mom and hubby being not well- and at that moment I saw how unselfish she
was to ask about me. What a kind person! I can't
even imagine the hell she is going thru in and out of doctors' offices and emergency rooms.
I am feeling grateful for what I have and my
struggles don't seem so bad.

People forget sometimes how something so simple as making food for someone can help. It's such a comforting gesture and means more to someone than just giving them something to eat. It means someone (you) went out of your way and made an effort to do something for them. How nice!

DebDeb that is truly beautiful what you are doing. I recall on Thanksgiving my wife and I were sick and so were the children. In so many words we were not able to make thanksgiving dinner. A neighbor who normally speaks to my wife realize what was going on and brought over her dinner to share with us. It was so emotional because it was my baby's 1st thanksgiving. Being the person that received this time really humbled me and grateful for wonderful people like you. Your doing the work of an angel. Blessings to you always

What a thoughtful gesture of love to let your neighbor know that you care. Your kindness provides healing for both you and them. May God truly bless you. Each day we should ask ourselves "who can I help today?". It really puts a stop to the negative obsessive thoughts when your mind is occupied with helping others.
