Stress Center Peer Support

hey everyone,

here I am again. It seems that I can't find the right work environment. I quit one job six months ago. Now I am working at another job with similar problems. Disrespect at work. I ahve been at this new job for six months and I love what I do and the pay is excellent but the work enviroment is very poor. I am shown disrespect on a regulat basis. Could this be my fault for not speaking up. But all I want to do is go to work do my job and come home w out all the crap that comes with it. I have missed two days of work because I just can't stand the environment.

I totally understand how you feel. I worked at a job for 16 years and was laid off when the company was work. They closed our office and 2000 people were let go. Since then I have worked at three jobs. I just put my notice in for my third job and will be starting my fourth job in 2 1/2 weeks. This all has occurred since 6/2005.

People don't respect each other anymore. They seems like they are in for themselves instead of working together as a team. I think that has been my problem. I don't feel like I am contributing and have had a lot of anxiety since I am not happy. My new job will be challenging and I love that. It seems like the other jobs were just boring for me. Not enough work, which means my mind wanders and the anxiety kicks in.

Give it some time or you may just have to find the right job in order to be happy. I believe that things happen for a reason. I think I was meant to be on this path so I can now heal and make things better in my life.

I do not think it is your fault but if it makes you feel better then speak up and let them know how you feel. If that doesn't work, then you will have a decision to make.
