Yesterday, I was tired but still an anxious jitter bug. This morning, I litterally had to drag myself out of bed.

Are there going to be days like this while I'm recovering from anxiety?

I know I havent slept well last night or the night before. I have a slight cold, and I ate some turkey last night....the first time in 10 years. Last night I was so tired that I almost fell asleep behind the wheel. But in bed, i only slept for 2 hours then tossed and turned after that.

Is this normal? Will I have days like this?

Yes there will probably be 'drag days' but as you get and feel better they will most probably become fewer and farther in between until you may not even notice them anymore. Don't get discouraged, be diligent and patient, stay positive that this can work, and believe it can get better.

Thanks Mary. I just wanted to make sure that it was apart of the recovery.

I "know" for sure this will work. To many success stories that this has changed people life around.

Try taking melatonin, 300 mcg. I usually take one pill and a half. I cut the second one in half with a knife because 2 leaves me a bit tired in the morning. Sometimes i will take two. Melatonin naturally occurs in the brain and works good for sleeping. You can actually extract melatonin from milk by heating it up, but i find this not good for me for some reason. Sleep is very important. When we're loaded with too much on our plate we tend not to sleep well. To this day i have days when i can't sleep so good, BUT I ALWAYS KEEP MY EYES closed in order to rest the brain and the eyes so i can operate at work the next day. Have faith, in time you'll learn how to deal with sleep.

Good Job getting out of bed and moving on!!!!

There will be days like this and in session four there are some ideas for better sleep...I don't know where your at in the program.

Hang in there things will get better...keep doing what you are...moving forward.

I do not take medication for sleep because I am one of those who can not kick it in the morning..as time has gone on my body is slowly adjusting. Best of Luck

hey Adrian! I totally know how you feel, yes there will be days when you feel sooo tired yet cant leep. thats becasue youre brain is jabbering away while youre body is saying, no lets go to sleep. It does go away in time. Im having a little trouble with the sleep again, but only because im thinking about it. Once you stop dweling on "getting enough" sleep, you be sleeping fine. Its normal to wake up a few times, but eventually you will fall right back to sleep with no problems. Also another suggestions is to not keep a clock in eye's view which can make it even worse.
Talk to ya soon,
Crystal

Adrian...have you cut out all the surgar caffine ect? I have also started having the sleepy time tea at night I think it helps...and for me no naps...no matter what has helped.

Things will get better...a lot is changing for you right now...you can do it.
