Just starting the Program, and what I see so far is mainly relaxation and distraction. I've done this before. Is there anything in the Program that makes the anxiety never happen again?

Hey. Well I havent started the program yet, But i do know that the anxiety will always be in us, the program just gives us the tools to diminish it and get through it and gain control of it most importantly.. but we cant expect an absolute MIRACLE. i wish it would never ever come back!

Hi Donald,

There is a lot more to it than what you describe, in my opinion. The program teaches coping skills such as distraction, but it also teaches how to get in touch with what is really bothering you and facing that head on and dealing with it when you feel you are ready to. There is a lot more involved in my opinion. Mere distraction without dealing with what is troubling you doesn't resolve the underlying problems.

There's a lot more to the program than distraction and relaxation. The workbook exercises are crucial in my opinion (at least for me) in attaining coping and managing skills. I have seen such changes in myself that I can't believe I'm the same person I was four months ago. As far as "does the Program making anxiety never happen again" - of course not. There's always some anxiety but knowing how to cope and manage is the key. I don't have the fear over it anymore and when the anxiety does come up it seems to go away faster and easier. Which in my opinion is a success.
