Hi
This is my first time to post and I am glad I found this site, because maybe I can get the answers that I have been looking for for sooo long.
I am 44
I have been having thoughts of something being wrong or I might die since I was 13 years old. It wasn't always constant thoughts of this but it would come in waves.

Eight years ago my brother passed away unexpectantly and then about 8 months after that I had a horrible panic attack. I hadn't had anything like this in my life. I suffered with these anxiety issues for the next 2 years and slowly just got over it. These thought would come ever so often for the next 4 or 5 years but that was about it.

Last November 2007 I was sitting in Pizza Hut, everything going great in my life and I had another panic attack. I thought I was dying and wanted out of there fast. For the next 2 months I had good days with no anxiety and other days with anxiety. During the months of January through March I felt better that I have in years. Thank you Jesus

Since April 2008 I have had thoughts of something being wrong with me or I might die at anytime. My physical symptoms are getting light headed at least 20 times a day or I get chills across my shoulder up my neck to my head. Some days I don't have any of this.

I am not one to go to the doctor and thinking about it brings on more anxiety. I also don't have any type of insurance and don't have the funds to go.

I don't have chest pain or pressure, but my heart will pound with one strong beat maybe once or twice a week. It is just one beat that does this. My heart rarely races or has a fast beat unless I am doing some exercise or something real active.

This symptom of getting light headed and chills is the ones that worries me. Do these same things happen to anyone else?
I do have a safe person that I confide in. When I get to feeling bad I get online and start reading and that help's out a whole bunch. I don't take any meds or go to counseling.
Just want to know who else get these symptoms.
Thank you for your help.

Hi
I too get lightheaded very often even this moment as im typing. It gets me scared at timesbut then i try to distract myself becuase if i keep thinking about it i will drive myself crazy. I know its anxiety but i still haven't quite learned how to stop myself from getting this sympton. but im still giving it my all to figure it out. But don't worry your not alone. A sympton that i feel often and right now is numbness throughout my body. Do you also get this strange symptom? But how i said your not alone. Good luck

Thank you Jesse for replying. I have found that if I am busy doing something I don't get light headed.
I don't want to get on any meds and am trying my best to get through this with my safe person. We pray together and I know Jesus it going to heal me.
I totally believe in the power of prayer and that is where I put my trust.

OMG TRD you sound just like me. I get the exact same symptoms and my fear is passing out in an attack.

I had a full blown panic 8 years ago when I was 20 and then had them all the time. Became agoraphobic. Took me a good while to finally get over it.

Then out of the blue, 8 years later I had another attack and started worrying about it and here I am again going through the program.

I think it just boils over when we get too much on our plates and start going back to negative thought habits.

Anyway. Yes..that is the same day I do off and on all the time. I feel dizzy. I don't get a chill, I get a rush of heat and tightness in my body, sometimes tingling.

The program will help. It is what got me through the last time. Be blessed.
