Hello! This is what my whole anxiety issue stems from.I'm terrified of fainting! What I'm trying to do is deflate that fear.I've had this fear for 13 years now.I figure why let this control my life? It's so hard to break these fears sometimes.I was completely housebound for almost 2 years because of this fear.I decided I'm not going to let this fear control me.I pushed myself and now I'm able to leave my house.I've also put myself in some "big" situations that I never would have thought that I'd be able to handle or get through but I did.Remember it's just a thought and what happens after that is up to us.In other words DON'T FEED IT.Don't fight it either.Just allow the thought to come in and float out.If you have symptoms with it try not to let it scare you.I know how hard that can be.Use whatever skills work for you.The main thing is refocus and take a deep breath so the brain will send a signal to the body to calm down. There is no emergency. You are safe! That's what it's all about.Being able to change that oh what's wrong with me? To ok I'm feeling anxiety but I know what it is and I know that it can't hurt me so I'm going to float with it and calm down.I'm still working on all of this but I do know that this is what works.I hope this helps you.Take care!
