I am having an anxious moment and need to talk to some one.... To make a long story short I am a healthy 30 year old female. been suffering with anxiety. I have had many many test done on my heart (which is the focus of my anxiety) tonight I was visiting with my inlaws and all of the sudden i felt a strange pain in my chest. I don't think I have ever felt that before. I didn't think I was anxious - actually had a good day. could this be indigestion or something as I did eat chili a couple hours ago for dinner. I am feeling very fearful right now...... I hope someones listening. Thanks.

My name is Philip and I am new to the program,
I do not won’t to add to your anxiety I have taken the Red Cross Adult CPR and AED classes on several occasions, I would not screw around if you are having chest pains. Do you have any other symptoms?

Try some Maalox and see if it goes away. If it does you'll know you had indigestion. Give it some time to work at least 30minutes.

I am originally from Ohio and have friends in Lang caster. (Hope I am spelling that right) If I am not mistaken it will not cost anything to have a paramedic check you out only if they transport you do they charge you.

Hi, I too am having an anxious day. Trying to relax myself and stay positive. I keep telling myself that tomorrow will be better and keep trying to believe it. I'm not sure what tests you are having done, but I too have heart problems. I have mitro-valve prolapse and have lived with it since I was a teenager. You do experience many strange pains in your chest besides a racing heart and fluttering. Sometimes it still scares me even though I know what it is. I sometimes think I am going to have a heart attack, but then it passes. If I were you I would try to relax myself the best that you can (I know it's easier said than done).Try not to think negatively and wait until you get your test results back. Keep telling yourself that you will be ok. I will pray for you that everything turns out fine. And remember, there is always someone listening. Mary Lu

hi just wanted to respond bc i read that your main focus with your anxiety is your heart...well same thing for me...even today i felt a few weird beats and got scared...i know how scary it is to worry about your heart..if your like me you probably focus on your heart enough that your mind can play tricks on you ..i'm not saying your not feeling pain, but it makes it worse that your focused on your heart...i just wanted to let you know i understand your situation..i'm sure it will pass...angelo

no I am not having any other symptoms (nothing at all). I have gone up and down the stair (because my computer is down stair ) and the excersion isn't causing me any problems or symptoms. I am so tense I am causing a lot of tension but that is about all.

I have had SEVERAL ekg's and echo and of course seen a cardiologist.

I had a similar pain and tightness in my chest that i though was some heart problem. Went to ER and they had me drink some mallox and something else that numbed my esophogus...the pain was gone instantly. It was integestion. I get tightness and palpations all the time with my anxiety. Maybe you could try the malox and the breathing and see if it goes away?

Thank you all for your kind words. Its another day and look I am still here. This anxiety is can really get the best of me. One pain can put me into serious panic.

The strange part of all this is my heart never raced nor did I have any palpatations - just the pain and muscle tension.

I didn't feel anxious at all yesterday so I am a little confused as to where it came from...maybe indigestion or "gas"????? I begged the dear Lord for help and well I was able to fall asleep last night so I think His reassurance was their.

I am a third grade teacher and I see a behavior change in my students when the weather changes. I'm in Ohio and we had a gorgeous day yesterday but today the temp. dropped about 40 degrees and I woke up almost manic. Do you think your condition could be related to the change in barometric pressure? I know its a stretch but I'm trying to convince myself that's what's going on with me this morning. I'm incredibly down and almost weepy today. Even went to church and got weepy eyed there.
