Does anyone here get the "Sunday Blues?" Since I have been journaling so much the last few months I notice that Sundays are my hardest days and feel like I get the blues every Sunday. The other days of the week seem OK but come Sunday my negative thoughts and worries seem to be at their worst. What is it about Sunday "that makes a man feel alone" - to paraphrase a Johnny Cash song. Anyone else feel like Sundays are hard?

I find weekends in general to be "blues" producing. I think it's because I use work to distract myself from how I'm feeling.

Weekends are usually a bummer for me too, but only if I'm by myself. I really hope this program can help me be happy with myself so I don't look to others to fulfill that

Must have something to do with quietness of the day and too much time for us worriers to worry. It might be a good day to just review all the sessions.

I too suffer from the "Sunday Blues." Songs have been written about it and it has been referenced in major motion pictures. I recently read an article stating that "Sunday Blues" is a growing phenomenon.
For me, I notice I do better on Sundays if I get out and do something, try to settle down early in the evening, focus on relaxing and accepting that this is normal for me. Once you stop fighting it and instead do things to soothe it, it may become easier - it has for me.

C.C.Ryder - yes, good idea. I think I will schedule a hike on Sundays even if I have to go alone. Wish I had a dog to go with me as my cat is not too keen on hiking in the mts. lol. She's a homebody. Will try to focus on accepting the day.

Mary, yep, it's pretty common for us anxious folks to get a little "down" on those kick off your shoes and sit back days. We are so used to going going going that it's uncomfortable to relax. That is what Lucinda is referring to when she tells us to slowww down in all ways..enjoy the present moment and breath. Basically she's saying learn to enjoy the quietness and stillness of the day. It's something that I have yet to accomplish. I do everything fast and I KNOW this is alot of the reason for my anxiety. BUT I'm a work in progress but little by little, it will happen.
YES, accepting the day and "floating" with it IS THE KEY!
Take care, we're almost there

You know, when I used to work Monday-Friday, I used to get the Sunday blues pretty badly. Now that I work weekends and weekdays, I don't get them. Sunday is just like any other day. Like today for example I worked and tomorrow I do not. But I can completely relate, I used to get really bummed out by Sundays! I'm sure it has something to do with working during the week.

Thanks everyone for your comments and replies. Even if I know all the stuff from the sessions somehow I tend to forget some things and it's good to be reminded.
